There are many ways to do off page SEO but Tumblr is a very easy alternative to some of the other methods that can be little more difficult for some people new to SEO. Tumblr gives you the option of posting a link, or a picture, or even a quotes and there are many other options as well. but for the most part we're probably just going to stick with posting pictures and links for now. The importance of posting pictures is pretty simple, Most People on Social media like memes and pictures, So they're more likely to share them especially if the pictures are not linking to anything else.

It is very important to share pictures related to your niche, anything related to what you're actually talking about in your YouTube videos so whatever niche that you're in, those of the types of photos that you want to share on Tumblr.  The first step is downloading pictures to share on Tumblr. 

 How To Find The Best Pictures To Share On Tumblr - Expat SEO

To obtain these pictures you go to a search engine such as Google click on images and type in the topic of your YouTube video that you're going to share on Tumblr. So again, if your YouTube channel is based on one specific topic then you want to stick to that specific topic I cannot stress this enough. If you post unrelated pictures, you are not attracting the right followers that would be interested in your videos. 

When searching for pictures on any image search engine make sure to select  pictures that look like something that you would personally share on your own Facebook page Twitter or Tumblr. If it looks like something that you would be willing to share than most likely other people would share it as well and that's that's very important because you want as many shares as possible. After 48 hours after you have created your account, you want to search Tumblr for your niche such as "Expats In Asia" You will see other posts on tumblr about the same topics. You then want to look for how many "notes" it has, these are the number of shares that the specific picture has. Look for something without links, then share the picture to your own Tumblr Page.

Once you share a popular picture with many notes. You want to click on "notes" right under the picture, where you will see all of the tumblr accounts that shares that specific picture, Now start following them. If there are many, I would recommend following only the people who reshared that picture, because they would be more likely to share something from your page, which will give you the back links.
